What is a Hardy Zone?

The North American Continent divided into 10 zones based on average yearly low temperatures. These are called Hardiness Zones. All tree species thrive in certain temperatures, and you can easily find the right tree species for your local temperature range by knowing which zone you are in.

Utah is particularly diverse and is the only state in the nation to cross 4 hardy zones, zones 4-8.
